WHAT IS DEFENCE4?

Defence4 is a Personal Safety and Defence system. What sets us apart from many other systems is that ours is a ‘Defensive system’ not a ‘fighting system’, our techniques are taught in a variety of sectors including; Care, Education and Security.

All of the techniques are risk assessed to the required ICM standard. We deliver a complete Personal safety and Self Defence system and offer Train the Trainers courses and Nationally Accredited Trainer’s Qualification.

Short Courses

For a basic course it’s just 6 hours delivered in one day, or for a basic Trainers course it’s 12 hours delivered over two days (plus pre course e-learning theory).

Supporting Theory

We cover how to raise your awareness, avoid situations and improve your confidence. The practical content of the courses is based on the most common attacks for each group type.

Accredited Courses

All techniques and courses meet the Institute of Conflict Management standards. The techniques are simple to learn, as they work with your natural reactions.

Provides both theory & practical defence that utilizes the bodies natural reactions. Achievable in situations of high conflict and nullifies the attacker as soon as possible.

Courses for Early Years, Primary, Secondary and Further Education; Personal Safety, Dealing with Challenging Behaviour, De-escalation, Breakaway, Guiding and Escorting (Physical Intervention).

Care

Courses for Health & Social Care settings; Personal Safety, Dealing with Challenging Behaviour, De-escalation, Breakaway, Guiding and Escorting (Physical Intervention).

Security

Physical Intervention (Breakaway & Restraint) for the Security Industry. From the standard SIA courses to Advanced Restraint, dealing with Edged Weapons and Multiple Attackers.
